Caisson Carriages

The caisson, a surprisingly efficient ammunition carrier which could follow the guns anywhere, was composed of a body, containing two ammunition chests and a standard field limber. It carried a spare wheel at the rear, an extra pole slung beneath, and in emergencies it’s limber could be detached in a matter of seconds and substituted for the disabled limber of a gun thus saving a valuable weapon at the loss of a relatively inexpensive cart. WE also offer a special caisson for Funeral Homes and Cemeteries to use in Military services of the departed. We are the only company that offers the limber and caisson in aluminum for out door display. We currently have aluminum caissons at Mananas, Stone’s River and aluminum limbers at Mananas, Stone’s River, New Market and Fort Donelson.
